Coming soon: A read along podcast for the Rivers Of London book series by Ben Aaronovitch.
We will be starting – logically enough – at book one in the series with a pod about the first novel published the week of 13th April 2020. So, if you have been meaning to get around to the series then what better time to get reading! If you are already a fan, then hopefully you’ll enjoy revisiting the books.
This review should whet your appetite if you aren’t already a fan.
Each episode – about three weeks apart to allow newbies to read ahead of time – will be posted here, as well as on Apple podcasts, Spotify and Soundcloud. You can also follow us on Twitter @thefollycast.
The podcasts will be spoiler free, assuming you haven’t read the subsequent books, but will have a final ‘bonus’ section discussing wider arcs, foreshadowing etc.
If you’d like your thoughts to be included in the podcast you can comment below and we will try to fit in some of the main themes that emerge. Do let us know what you’d like us to cover.
We particularly welcome audio feedback, so feel free to send us your thoughts and observations as MP3s or other audio format (two minutes maximum please) to: email@example.com. We may play some of them in the show!
So see you soon. To get you started here’s a handy timeline for the first few books. We plan to do episodes on the ‘spin off’ graphic novels after we have done the books themselves. The art at the top of the page is from the cover of the Graphic Novel ‘Detective Tales’ drawn by Mack Chater (@MackChater on Twitter).
