Top Tracks of 2015: Number 18 – FFS, Tunde Adebimpe, Catfish & The Bottlemen

FFS is, for those not aware, a supergroup formed from Franz Ferdinand & Sparks ( hence FFS – that else did you think it stood for?). A fairly unique supergroup as it is literally the fusion of two who groups, not just random members.  When was the last time that happened? I am told that Buggles joining Yes doesn’t count as they replaced two departing members, but it is a nice way of annoying prog rock fans nonetheless.

This is the lead track from the album which features the epic and bravely titled final track ‘Collaborations Don’t Work’. Judge for yourself.

You can then scroll down for Roy & Andy’s choices. Meanwhile also catch up on the countdown so far here

  1. Like my number 19, another track from the start of the year which I was very fond of at the time and was keen to have a listen to the ensuing album. Again, it didn’t really appeal as much as I thought it might. Not to be confused with Hootie and the Blowfish, I give you my number 18…

  2. At Number 18……this popped up out of nowhere earlier in the year by TVOR’s Tunde Adebimpe. Definitely one for Margaret’s running playlist. Seemingly a distillation of his day job, Flaming Lips and Murray Head’s ‘One Night in Bangkok’. Judge for your yourself.
